The Brai APP range consists of high-performance Atactic Polypropylene (APP) modified bitumen torch-on membranes manufactured by the Italian company BRAI. When installed, the Brai APP torch-on underlay serves as the base layer in a multi-layer flat roofing system, providing a durable foundation for the subsequent waterproofing layers.

  • Product Type: APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified bitumen membrane, providing excellent thermal stability and resistance to sagging in hot weather.
  • System Type: Suitable for use as part of a 2-layer roofing system on timber, concrete, or metal flat roofs.
  • Cap Sheet: Designed to be installed beneath a heavy-duty, UV-resistant mineral cap sheet.
  • Underlay Features:
    • Sand-finished upper surface.
    • Thermofusible film on the underside that melts during torch application, creating a secure bond to the primed roof deck.
  • Temperature Performance: Suitable for year-round installation and particularly well suited to sloping roofs and vertical upstands due to the high softening point of APP-modified bitumen.
